ALDER DESIGN STUDIO / FICTIONAL

A client asks for a logo + homepage by Friday.

A reply that knows
where you stand.

01

We can discuss the logo as a brand-identity project. The homepage would need its own scope.

↳ FROM YOUR APPROVED CONTEXT

Logo work and homepage work are scoped separately.

Fictional, preset example. Concept presentation, not a delivered app.

01 / See the idea at work

Same request.
Your business in the reply.

This fictional example shows why context matters. See how an approved business scope, audience, writing voice, and working boundaries shape a reply.

THE REQUEST / FICTIONAL CLIENT
“Our shop opens next Friday. We need a logo and homepage. Can you do both for $800?”

Alder Design Studio is fictional. These are written examples, not customer results or live AI output.

WHAT THE OWNER APPROVED

The brief behind
the reply.

Business Context

Alder is a fictional brand-identity studio. Homepage work needs a separate scope.

What changes in the draft

Separates the two requests instead of quietly including website work.

Draft output: for a person to check

A reply with your business in mind.

02Congratulations on the upcoming opening of Maple & Thread. What do you want customers to know about the shop?

01We can discuss the logo as a brand-identity project. The homepage would need its own scope.

04Before I confirm whether next Friday and the $800 budget are workable, I need to review the scope and our availability.

03Could you share what is ready already and what still needs to be created?

Still your decision. Check the facts, wording, scope, and availability before you use or send anything.

Select a context item to see its corresponding wording. This comparison uses preset text; it does not measure AI performance. No AI runs and nothing is sent.

02 / Your reusable foundation

Your knowledge.
Made reusable.

Operating Files are five reference documents about your business, preferences, and priorities. Mike guides their creation; you correct and approve them before setup.

How we build it together

01 Prepare. Guided interview and materials you are authorized to use.

02 Review. Correct the five documents and approve your versions.

03 Set up. Agree a supported storage option, set up remotely, and review one task together.

Five files that guide the work

  • Working Style: how you work and want help.
  • Business Context: your business, offers and constraints.
  • Brand Guide: your positioning and approved visual identity.
  • Writing Guide: your voice, tone and writing examples.
  • North Star: your priorities, goals and measures.

Prepare, review and set up

  • Use the guided interview in regular ChatGPT, reuse existing business documents and answer one question at a time.
  • Approve, download and open all five files. Reply in your onboarding email thread, and explain where you got stuck if a file is missing.
  • Confirm device, access and storage. Check approved sources and connections, then test a morning brief and first useful workflow.

Keep your work organized

Preserve original source documents. Keep five current approved onboarding files. Use the working-file location agreed during setup. Review changes before updating files, check reopening and file loading during setup, and agree any reminders or upkeep separately.

You stay in control. Sign in yourself. Never share passwords.
